Opal is softer and holds water, so keep it from hard knocks and drying heat like direct sun or a hot car. Clean it with a soft, damp cloth, avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners, and store it away from harder stones that could scratch it.

White or milky opal is pale with a subtle rainbow flash and suits everyday wear. Fire opal is warm orange with brighter, sacral energy for creativity. Pink opal is soft and calming, a gentle heart stone. All three are genuine opal, just different colours and moods.
