Solacely jaap malas are traditional 108-bead prayer malas made for japa, the repetition of a mantra, and for meditation. Each mala carries 108 counting beads and one guru bead, strung and knotted by hand in rudraksha, sandalwood, tulsi, sphatik (clear quartz), lotus seed and gemstone. Choose by the material you're drawn to, or by how you want your practice to feel: peace, devotion, focus or protection.
How to choose a mala
If you're starting a daily practice, rudraksha and sandalwood are the classic first malas, light in the hand and easy to count. Tulsi is the devotional choice, sphatik and gemstone malas are cooler to the touch and often chosen for clarity and calm. Prefer a shorter round? A 27-bead wrist mala does four rounds to 108 and stays on you all day.
